Rally Point Church: A New Beginning in Marquette, MI

We are excited to announce that a new church is coming to Marquette, MI—Rally Point Church.

The Bible often describes God’s people as strangers and sojourners in this world. Peter writes, “Beloved, I urge you as sojourners and exiles to abstain from the passions of the flesh, which wage war against your soul” (1 Peter 2:11). The word “sojourners” in Greek carries the idea of foreigners living in a place not their own—a word that eventually gave rise to the English term parish.

In Roman culture, a parish was not just a neighborhood; it referred to a garrison—a place where soldiers gathered, trained, and prepared to be sent out on mission. That picture is powerful for us today.

A rally point is the modern military equivalent of that Roman garrison. It’s the place where troops regroup, receive encouragement, and are prepared to move forward with purpose. That’s exactly what Rally Point Church is all about.

We gather together not only to worship but also to be built up, encouraged, and sent out. God has a greater purpose for your life than simply “getting by.” His plan is not survival but mission—the Great Commission that Jesus gave to His followers: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19).

At Rally Point Church, our desire is to help you discover that greater purpose. God created you for more than routine—He created you to live on mission with Him. Come join us, and let’s rally together around the hope and mission of Jesus Christ.
