What are you afraid of?
How do you know God is with you when you are afraid?
What scary thing may God be asking you to do?
God tells Joshua not to be afraid.
Joshua feels nervous leading God’s people, but God promises, “I am with you.” Courage means trusting God even when you’re scared.
Rahab chooses to trust God.
Rahab lives inside the city of Jericho, but she believes the one true God and bravely helps the spies, even though it’s risky.
Faith means action, not just words.
Rahab hides the spies and ties the red rope in her window—she shows her faith by obeying.
God uses unexpected people.
Rahab doesn’t look like a hero, but God uses her in a big way. God can use anyone who trusts Him.
God keeps His promises.
God protects Rahab and her family, and He helps Joshua lead the people. When God says He is with us, He really is.
